IF YOU ARE A NEW CUSTOMER TO THE NEB OVERSIZE AND/OR OVERWEIGHT TRUCK PERMITS YOU WILL NEED TO CLICK THE LINK THAT STATES: "REGISTER IF YOU DO NOT HAVE AN ACCOUNT" ALL PERMITS ARE DONE ONLINE AND THE PERMTS OFFICE WILL NOT DO THEM FOR YOU. NEBRASKA FUEL TRIP PERMITS ARE DONE ON-LINE AT THE NE DMV WEBSITE: DMV.NEBRASKA.GOV/SERVICES ATTENTION CARRIERS- THIS IS THE HOLIDAY EVERYONE FORGETS WE ARE CLOSED!! Nebraska Permits office will be closed on Friday, April 24, 2026, for Arbor Day. Travel is permitted. Applications will be issued in the order they were received on Monday, April 27, 2026. Please make sure you are reading ALL of your permit provisions and additional provisions if needed. Additional provisions are ALWAYS on the last page of the issued permit. Permit fees will not be refunded after permit is issued even if it is not used or declared void because of a violation of the terms and conditions of the permit. The accuracy of the information on a permit is the responsibility of the customer/applicant. Only certain permit types can be amended. Permits can be amended only once. The fee for an amendment is $10.00.

Permit staff is not available on weekends or state holidays.
