MEMORIAL DAY HOLIDAY: MAY 25, 2026 THE PERMITS OFFICE WILL BE CLOSED ON MONDAY, MAY 25th, 2026, FOR THE MEMORIAL DAY HOLIDAY. PERMITS THAT ARE NOT ISSUED ON FRIDAY, MAY 22nd BY 4:30 PM WILL BE ISSUED IN THE ORDER THEY WERE RECEIVED ON TUESDAY, MAY 26th, 2026. TRAVEL IS RESTRICTED FROM NOON ON MAY 22nd UNTIL SUNRISE MAY 26th, 2026. JUNE 19th, 2026- THE PERMITS OFFICE WILL BE CLOSED FOR JUNETEENTH. TRAVEL IS PERMITTED. Permits that are not issued prior to 4:30pm on June 18th, will be issued in the order they were received on Monday, June 22nd, 2026. ATTENTION! PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE MESSAGE BOARD FOR IMPORTANT INFORMATION!! IF YOU ARE A NEW CUSTOMER TO THE NEB OVERSIZE AND/OR OVERWEIGHT TRUCK PERMITS YOU WILL NEED TO CLICK THE LINK THAT STATES: "REGISTER IF YOU DO NOT HAVE AN ACCOUNT" ALL PERMITS ARE DONE ONLINE AND THE PERMTS OFFICE WILL NOT DO THEM FOR YOU. NEBRASKA FUEL TRIP PERMITS ARE DONE ON-LINE AT THE NE DMV WEBSITE: DMV.NEBRASKA.GOV/SERVICES Please make sure you are reading ALL of your permit provisions and additional provisions if needed. Additional provisions are ALWAYS on the last page of the issued permit. Permit fees will not be refunded after permit is issued even if it is not used or declared void because of a violation of the terms and conditions of the permit. The accuracy of the information on a permit is the responsibility of the customer/applicant. Only certain permit types can be amended. Permits can be amended only once. The fee for an amendment is $10.00.
