ATTENTION! ATTENTION! ATTENTION! IF YOU DID NOT RECEIVE AN ACTIVATION EMAIL FOR THE NEW SITE YOU WILL NEED TO SELECT "REGISTER IF YOU DO NOT HAVE AN ACCOUNT" DO NOT CALL THE PERMITS OFFICE AS WE WILL NOT BE ABLE TO HELP YOU REGARDLESS OF IF YOU HAD AN ACCOUNT IN THE OLD SITE. YOU MUST ACTIVATE YOUR NEW PROFILE BEFORE YOU CAN ORDER PERMITS. ALL PERMITS ARE DONE ONLINE AND THE PERMTS OFFICE WILL NOT DO THEM FOR YOU. Nebraska Permits office will be closed on Monday, February 16th, 2026, for President's Day. Travel is permitted. Applications will be issued in the order they were received on Tuesday, February 17th, 2026. When filling out permit applications please make sure to add the make and model and what you are hauling for the load description. For your origin and destination, the permits office is only wanting the boarding state you are entering from and exiting too, or the closest town/city are you are starting at and closet town/city you are delivering too. We do not permit to exact address. City or Town or County routes are permitted by those entities. You must contact those entities for a permit or permission to travel on their routes. Please make sure you are reading all of your permit provisions!! Permit fees will not be refunded after permit is issued even if it is not used or declared void because of a violation of the terms and conditions of the permit. The accuracy of the information on a permit is the responsibility of the customer/applicant. Only certain permit types can be amended. Permits can be amended only once. The fee for an amendment is $10.00.

Permit staff is not available on weekends or state holidays.
