ATTENTION ATTENTION- PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE MESSAGE BOARD FOR IMPORTANT INFORMATION AND UPDATES The Permits Office will be CLOSED on Monday, September 7th, 2026, for the Labor Day Holiday. Permits that are not issued prior to Friday, September 4th at 4:30pm will be issued in the order they were received on Tuesday, September 8th. Travel Restrictions for the Labor Day Holiday- Travel is restricted from 12pm (Noon) on Friday, September 4th, until sunrise on Tuesday, September 8th. PLEASE REMEMBER TO READ ALL PROVISIONS ON YOUR PERMIT. THERE IS IMPORTANT INFORMATION IN THE PROVISIONS THE HAULER MUST BE AWARE OF. THE PROVISIONS ARE ON THE PERMIT FOR A REASON. CITY AND COUNTY PERMITS MAY BE REQUIRED FOR YOUR PERMIT. THE ONUS IS ON THE HAULER TO HAVE THESE PERMITS WITH THE NDOT STATE ISSUED PERMIT. THE PERMITS OFFICE ONLY PERMITS FOR STATE AND US ROUTES AND THE INTERSTATES IN NEBRASKA. IF YOU ARE A NEW CUSTOMER TO THE NEBRASKA OVERSIZE AND/OR OVERWEIGHT TRUCK PERMITS YOU WILL NEED TO CLICK THE LINK THAT STATES: "REGISTER IF YOU DO NOT HAVE AN ACCOUNT" ALL PERMITS ARE DONE ONLINE AND THE PERMTS OFFICE WILL NOT DO THEM FOR YOU. NEBRASKA FUEL TRIP PERMITS ARE DONE ON-LINE AT THE NE DMV WEBSITE: DMV.NEBRASKA.GOV/SERVICES Please make sure you are reading ALL of your permit provisions and additional provisions if needed. Additional provisions are ALWAYS on the last page of the issued permit. Permit fees will not be refunded after permit is issued even if it is not used or declared void because of a violation of the terms and conditions of the permit. The accuracy of the information on a permit is the responsibility of the customer/applicant. Only certain permit types can be amended. Permits can be amended only once. The fee for an amendment is $10.00.
